78-ACRE ASH POND CLOSURE

PROJECT SCOPE

CBP Environmental is providing the services to facilitate the construction of this 78-acre reclaim water ash pond relocation and closure. This project is ongoing and includes dewatering the ash, water treatment, redirecting discharge flows, excavating existing ash and relocating it, and placing structural fill in the excavation area.

During this project, CBP will excavate, relocate and dewater approximately 3,000,000 cubic yards of ash and construct two ponds lined with geosynthetics. In addition, there will be 1,500,000 cubic yards of structural fill placed, and construction of a 7,000 linear foot slurry wall. To close the project out, CBP will cap the entire 78 acres with closure turf.
