73-ACRE FINAL LANDFILL CLOSURE

PROJECT SCOPE

CBP was contracted to complete this landfill project which consisted of a complete 73-acre, 3,200,000 square foot MSW Geosynthetic closure. The project scope was to regrade intermediate cover to design grades followed by the placement of a Geosynthetic Clay Liner, a 40 mil super grip net liner, and topped with an 8 oz. non-woven geotextile.

During the capping process, CBP had to disconnect and relocate the existing gas system and reinstall it as the cap sections were completed. Above the liner system sections were complete, CBP installed the soil cover layer, tack on berms, down drain piping and associated stormwater control features.

The completed cap sections were vegetated as the project progressed establishing a beautiful final closed project for our client, Greenville County.
